Is Prostitution Legal in Las Vegas?

Is prostitution legal in Las Vegas? Should prostitution be legal in Las Vegas? Do any of the laws that are in place actually do anything to stop prostitution? If a person chooses to engage in prostitution, it should be legal because in no situation is this kind of activity illegal.

It is in the best interest of the State of Nevada to legalize prostitution as long as they are able to enforce their new laws and they know who to arrest and prosecute if they find any of the offenders. If prostitution were legal in Las Vegas there would be more sex workers that could be prosecuted and therefore more criminals being sent to jail.

Since prostitution is legal in Las Vegas, they know exactly who to target and prosecute in order to keep them from working in the area. It would be like enforcing a curfew in an area where they could freely go into bars and have alcoholic beverages without anyone else having to worry about getting fined or arrested.

It is not illegal for a person to drink in Las Vegas or get drunk. It is illegal for a person to drive while intoxicated and therefore prostitution is illegal because it is harmful to society and is against the law.

If prostitution were legal in Las Vegas then more people would try to work in the city that are sex workers because they are illegal, but they are also very attractive to customers because they are not working illegally. Any person that wants to offer their body to a person to get paid must be able to get paid by someone who is willing to pay and not risk being caught.

Any type of prostitution is not illegal in Las Vegas as long as the person is not being paid for sex and there is no force involved. If a person were to force a person to be willing to have sex it would be considered statutory rape.

If a person can assure their customer that the sex is consensual it would be completely illegal for them to have sex with someone they cannot assure their customer that they will not have sex with. There would also be no selling sex for money in Las Vegas and therefore prostitution would not be legal in Las Vegas.

Since prostitution is legal in Las Vegas many of the problems that are associated with it would disappear because there would be no demand. The only problem with legalizing prostitution is that there would be a greater demand for prostitutes.

If there were laws in place that enforced the amount of people who came into Las Vegas that would be the case. Since those numbers have been going up many think that legalization would be the answer.

When considering how to change the law to make prostitution legal in Las Vegas, the answer is not to legalize prostitution. If a law is passed and is not enforced then it is not enforceable and does not protect the people that it was intended to help.

Any law should protect everyone because everyone is protected by it. If a person is forced to work in any situation that situation is a crime and the person that are forcing them to be a prostitute should be prosecuted.

There is no reason to wonder why prostitution is legal in Las Vegas. When prostitution is legalized prostitution does not exist in any situation because it is not illegal to have sex in Las Vegas and it is not illegal to be a prostitute.
